NYC Media Lab invites the NYU community in Downtown Brooklyn to participate in the NYCML’19 Program
NYC Media Lab is proud to bring its biggest event of the year to the Downtown Brooklyn community on Thursday, September 26, 2019. The morning Mainstage Program (8:00AM - 1:00PM) will be held right next door at CUNY City College of Technology’s new, state-of-the-art facility and theatre. The event’s afternoon Interactive Program (1:00PM - 6:00PM) will be spread across both the CUNY and NYU campuses.
NYC Media Lab would love to partner with your lab on programming, and we’ve built several ways to collaborate:
1. Open your doors to NYCML’19 attendees through guided tours of your facility.
Attendees will have the option to sign up for 45-minute tours of the NYU campus. Your lab could accommodate a group of 40-50 attendees, and show off your research and projects in a rapid, “tech safari”-style setting. Write to Alexis Avedisian (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to open your doors and be a part of walking tours.
2. Teach an NYCML’19 workshop at your location or in one of the available classrooms at CUNY.
There are several ways to lead a workshop at the event. If you are interested in teaching a session, please see further details and submit your proposal and concept on the workshop page here.
3. Show off your technology and research in the NYCML’19 Demo Expo.
As the event’s signature science fair, NYC Media Lab will select 100 prototypes, research posters, and startups to participate in a cross-institutional expo of emerging technology innovation. The Demo Expo will take place at CUNY, with a selection of demos to be showcased at NYU MakerSpace. If you would like to participate, please see submission guidelines and the application form on the demo page here.
NYCML'19 is a snapshot of the best thinking, projects and talent from across the City's industry and university ecosystem. Through thought-provoking discussions, hands-on workshops, and 100 innovative demos, attendees will consider pressing issues related to digital media innovation. The event will include 1,000 attendees and participants across its full day program.
